Compelled to enter Christian ministry, I graduated from Bible college and spent the first 17 years of my career in full-time Christian ministry in various churches throughout the Midwest. It was my pastoral counseling experiences, along with my passion to facilitate healing and renewal in broken relationships, that motivated me to change my career focus to pursue a counseling profession. I began my counseling career in 2008.
Besides spending time with family and friends, I also enjoy running (1 marathon and several half-marathons), kayaking, genealogy research, and watching college basketball (Go Hoosiers!). Rhonda and I are active members of a local non-denominational Christian church.
Either on my own, or along with Rhonda, I am available for speaking engagements and leading marriage conferences or retreats (see our website: https://www.theheartofmarriage.com).
On a personal note . . .
All relationships matter to me but none matter more to me than my own family. My wife, Rhonda, and I were married in 1985 and we have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren.
I was born in southern Indiana and raised in a Christian home with three siblings.
“I am a Christian counselor . . .
And what that means is that I present a God-centered approach to people’s needs, problems and solutions. While I respect and honor differing beliefs and religious convictions of my clients, my approach to counseling is based on a Biblical worldview and integrates both Christianity and psychology. I have a personal conviction that God designed marriage to be a sacred, lifelong covenant between a man and a woman.” - Les Morrison
